Editorial guidelines are in between triond and helium, where triond does not have any editorial input and helium has strict editorial oversight. Factoidz editors do not tolerate multiple grammar, spelling mistakes and formatting issues. In addition, the article should add value to the site. How to earn from Factoidz?

Earning from factoidz depends on three factors.

1.       Category of your article: Some categories do not earn much e.g. Psychology.

3.       Traffic: More traffic more earnings. But they filter junk traffic coming from certain sites. Value given to twitter traffic is little low and search engine traffic gets the maximum value.

Factoidz also pays upfront payments to new articles depending on the individual writer’s activity in the site. It is called activity bonus and it varies from 0.3 to 0.9 dollars.

Problems of Factoidz

If you found to have submitting low quality work then they will immediately downgrade your status to member. This especially affects staff writers because their work is not monitored before publishing into the site.  

Unlike writers, Members do not have the privilege to write articles or earn from existing articles. Once your status is downgraded to member it is pretty difficult to revert it. In addition, you will lose all our articles to the site and you will not be able to make any money from them. What is the reason for the recent drop in helium.com daily earnings ?

Recently daily earnings start to fluctuate weirdly in helium.com. According to the staff members, the site was hit by a wave of artificial traffic from an Amazon cloud server on July 28th. On that day many writers experienced very high traffic to their articles and immediately after that daily earnings dropped to nearly 2/3 of the usual average daily revenue. These changes affected writers who promote their articles heavily (Including Me).

Immediate drop may be due their tweaking of the page view code to exclude suspected artificial traffic. However, there is a wide spread belief that they intend to cut revenue share for twitter and other social media traffic.





If they try to cut down social media traffic or at least try to devalue them then many writers will experience wide spread earning drop. In addition, many writers who write to helium.com earns through social media promotion and it is because Google penalized Helium.com in their recent Panda algorithm change (drop in traffic from search engines).

Triond is one of the better writing sites available for international writers. It is collection of many sister sites. Your article will be displayed on one of around 15 sites depending on its category.

What are the guidelines?

You can publish any article provided that it is not previously published in the internet.  That means they do not accept duplicate content even if it is your own article written in another site. Triond use a software that detect whether an article is previously published on the internet or not. It will immediately delete an article if it is found to be published in another site. However, you can publish an article on other platforms, once it was accepted by Triond.

In addition to writing aticles, you can submit photos and videos as well. It has a social media aspect and you can create a community of writers who reads your articles. However, their forums are not moderated and it sometimes become annoying to participate in the triond forums. 

How to earn money?

You earn money through adshare (pay per view). They keep 50% of the income generated by your content and give other 50%.


In addition, you can put your adsense account information and earn from the clicks (you get 50% of the revenue). It is additional to your regular triond income. Regular income is generated through pay per view system. Their eCPM ranges from 0.5 to 10$ depending on the type of content.


 Another major plus point of Triond is the minimum payout level. It is 0.5 dollars or 50 cents for paypal. However, you need around 50 dollars if you need to get your money through western union. In addition, to earn some decent money you need to constantly promote your articles.

What are the negative aspects of this site?

One of the main problem is the quality of articles that were already published in this site. But there is a current trend towards high quality articles and site will most probably improve in the future.

Another negative aspect is the earning share, it is because 50% revenue share is one of the lowest ratios found in internet writing sites. But to compensate that Triond offers minimum payout level of 0.5$. Most sites with higher adshare ratio have high minimum payout levels. For an example Hubpages gives you 60% of the pay per view ad share but their minimal payout level is 50$.

Webanswers is an internet questions and answering platform, where you can earn money. It is similar to yahoo answers. However, unlike yahoo answers you can earn Google AdSense money from webanswers. In addition, it can be used to create an AdSense account pretty easily without a website.
Webanswers shares 60% of the AdSense clicks with you. In addition, it is a valuable source of information and people from various expertise are contributing to the site.
How webanswers works?
Once you answered 10 questions, you can start earning ad share. For that you need to enter your adsense account information. If a person who asked the question rewards your answer as the best possible answer then you will get 60% of the total income that question and answer generates.

Is Google changing page rank in accordance with panda

 

Recently I have noticed some weird changes in google page ranks. Several of my blog posts and helium.com articles jumped from 0 to pr2 within 24 hours. In addition, I have noticed a drop in page rank of several sites. Helium.com dropped from PR6 to PR5 within 24 hours. Hubpages.com also dropped from PR6 to PR5 within that period. I have confirmed these findings by using several page rank websites and Google chrome plugin.

In addition, my main blogsite, http://mentalhealthdoc.blogspot.com has gained a page rank of 1 with no serious link building.

But I have not noticed any immediate search engine ranking advantages from these changes.

What can be the reason?

I think Google may have changed their page rank algorithm in accordance with the recently introduced Google panda.  That’s why I am not seeing any improvement in search engine rankings, because it was changed already in Fen 2011 and currently they incorporate panda into their page rank to reflect true picture. In effect they might have put old wine into a new bottle.

However, this change means inpage factors in a web page may play a big role than outpage factors such as link building in future.

Helium.com is a writing site that allows international writers to earn money by posting articles. They pays upfront or incentive payments for writing articles for specific titles. In addition, they pay a advertisement share. Most of the time adshare revenue is good, compared to other writing sites.

In addition, they allows you to earn money by participating for writing contests, writing for outside publishers and participating in their special projects.

However, this site needs grammar and spelling mistakes free articles. Their editorial oversight is rather tough, but reasonable and unbiased. Therefore you can submit your quality articles to their site and earn money right away.

In addition, you have to submit 400 words or long, well written articles without pictures or formatting. Your article should be original and should not be published anyware in the internet. Their terms of use requires you to give them exclusive rights of your articles for one year. However, during that period, you can create ebooks or publish your work in print media, but you should not publish your article in the internet for one year.

Problems with the site

They change their payment policies, terms of use and other aggreements very frequently. It is because the recent changes in internet, especially panda update by the google. In addition, Helium.com got hit by the google panda. They do some internal workings to rectify it.

Issues on how to earn steady income from helium

To earn a steady icome you need to publish articles frequently. In addition, you need to rate other people's articles (It is a mandatory requiment). In addition, you need at least 300 articles to get some decent monthly income. Author of this blog earns around 300US$ from helium for his 380 articles.

Another important thing is you need to promote your articles via twittter and other social media platforms. It is quite easy to promote them automatically, if you use social media automation tool. Best tool i can recommend is Socialoomph. Other tools available are tweetAdder and twaitter. I will discuss about article article marketing with socialoomph in a next blog post.
