What are the requirements?
You need to submit a test article to their staff. They will review it and accept your membership to the site. However, if you managed to get an invite from a factoidz writer then they will skip this step.

But your first 20 articles are needed to go through an editor before publishing into the site. After successfully publishing 20 articles you will be upgraded to staff writer. Staff writers can publish articles directly to the site without going through an editor.
Editorial guidelines are in between triond and helium, where triond does not have any editorial input and helium has strict editorial oversight. Factoidz editors do not tolerate multiple grammar, spelling mistakes and formatting issues. In addition, the article should add value to the site. They also not tolerate any affiliate links inside your articles.
How to earn from Factoidz?
Earning from factoidz depends on three factors.
1. Category of your article: Some categories do not earn much e.g. Psychology.
2. SEO value: The site calculate Search engine optimization value of your article daily and adjust revenue share accordingly.
3. Traffic: More traffic more earnings. But they filter junk traffic coming from certain sites. Value given to twitter traffic is little low and search engine traffic gets the maximum value.
To earn you need to write to high paying category and you need some knowledge on search engine optimization techniques.
Factoidz also pays upfront payments to new articles depending on the individual writer’s activity in the site. It is called activity bonus and it varies from 0.3 to 0.9 dollars.
In addition, Factoidz employs unique traffic generating scheme for their articles called BuzzitUp. Here you promote other peoples articles using your social networks (twitter, facebook, dig) and others will promote your articles. In addition, most buzzed article is shown in their home page and member dashboards generating more traffic.
In addition, Factoidz has a very fibrant community and has good social networking functionality. So you can follow other writers and they can follow you. Writers get an email alert about new articles published by the members they follow.
Problems of Factoidz
If you found to have submitting low quality work then they will immediately downgrade your status to member. This especially affects staff writers because their work is not monitored before publishing into the site.
Unlike writers, Members do not have the privilege to write articles or earn from existing articles. Once your status is downgraded to member it is pretty difficult to revert it. I write for factoidz and I can tell you the site is quite backward as regards communication between editors and writers unlike in helium. I have accidentally submitted an article twice because of net connection problem and I dont know how, the same is published twice. I contacted them, but no reply. I think they will just see me as violating rules and kick m out without explanation. Are you aware of their contact numbers if you write for them?
I heard that Factoidz is penalizing writers without even informing them. There are many internet articles about that. But unfortunately i do not have any communication details of factoidz.
One thing you can do is to contact helium.com and ask them to delete your article. They usually listen. I once got them to delete one of my articles.
